Met Gala 2017: The Best Celebrity Looks

Another first monday of May has ended and that means the MET Gala has just passed us by. The MET Gala is an annual celebration of the biggest and brightest Hollywood stars and boy, do they dress up for this event. This year, the gala’s theme was a tribute to Comme Des Garçons, Rei Kawakubo’s daring Tokyo-based design line. With this set as theme, the MET Gala was sure to be interesting. And disappoint, it did not. The biggest stars went and smashed the red carpet wearing their own interpretations of the theme. Check out my top 5 picks!

1. Rihanna

Number 1 on my list is none other than… Rihanna! Rihanna totally slayed her outfit. She actually wore a piece from Rei Kawakubo’s line and paired it with strappy sandals. I absolutely adore this. Nailed it!

2. Lily Collins

Lily Collins paid homage to Rei Kawakubo with her black bob and added a touch of girliness with her big pink skirt. Totally clever! She definitely represented both herself and the theme.

3. Haley Bennett

Haley Bennett looked so regal in this Dolce & Gabbana dress. She topped it off with an oversized flower headdress and voila! I really want to see her shoes, though. I can imagine a pair of sexy high heels would be perfect!

4. Zendaya

Zendaya literally looked like she’s wearing a piece of art and was still so classy and stunning. I love her hair and how simple and effortless she looked. Definitely worthy to be on my top 5!

5. Rami Malek

And lastly, Rami Malek was one of the few boys who did not disappoint in the gala. I like it that he wore a striking red suit and opted to go for black accents. Love the shoes!

I honestly cannot wait for the next MET Gala and how that would top off this year’s. Stars went crazy on the red carpet (though some weren’t really in theme, hehe). I hope you enjoyed my top 5! Go and check out more of the amazing outfits they wore this year. It will not disappoint. Enjoy!
